Extrait :

Ángel Ferrant (1890-1961) is one of the great names in the history of avant-garde art in our country. Born in Madrid, he studied at the School of Arts and Crafts and the Academy of San Fernando. He also travelled around Europe and lived in Paris, where he came into contact with the most advanced art tendencies of his time.

The exhibition presents 50 works by Ángel Ferrant, mainly from the Gas Natural Fenosa Museum of Contemporary Art. It reveals a less known side of Ferrant, tracing the artist’s gradual stripping-down process, from the naturalism of the early postwar years to his new concept of mobile, open, transformable sculpture.
