Patrick Keiller (1950) is a British film-maker, writer and lecturer. After studying, practising and teaching architecture from 1967 to 1979, Keiller has been making films since 1981. Most of his works are typified by their use of subjective camera and voice-over, a technique that was brought to its height in the highly-celebrated London (1994) and Robinson in Space (1997) — two films that have been seen as a critique of the United Kingdom’s economic landscape under the Conservative governments of 1979-97.
