‘Making City’ is the main theme and principal exhibition of the 5th International Architecture Biennial Rotterdam (IABR). You can view this temporary exhibition in the main gallery of the NAI independently, or take a guided tour. Visit the exhibition with a guide who will explain all about the visionary scenarios for making and designing the city of tomorrow, and the roles played by designers in this process.

The city is our future, but only if it’s designed, planned and managed more effectively than it is right now. The exhibition ‘Making City’ presents ways of doing this with a variety of imaginative scenarios for urban living driven by innovative and ever-changing partnerships of designers, administrators, planners, developers and residents. The inter-disciplinary design and research projects of designers from throughout the world are on display at the NAI from 20 April until 12 August.
